Roshan's Blog: First Steps

03/22/2011

Oh, the excitement and the applause of encouragement given with each step as a baby passes into toddlerhood. I loved watching our granddaughter’s face as she mastered and gained confidence with each step she took and threw us a smile letting us know she was quite pleased with herself.

This new phase now leads to more changes; more calories are burnt with increased activity requiring larger meals and healthy snacks. Her world has also expanded and now includes exploring other rooms, opening drawers and cupboards, and more games of “peek-a-boo.”

Finally with these steps, a longer daytime nap is taken giving everyone a break for more fun until the end of the day when she is exhausted and now sleeping through the night!
